Job Summary
As the Training Manager, you will create and facilitate training programs for on-site corporate based seminars and in-the-field based sessions for employees, manufacturer’s representatives, and the distribution channel representatives.
You will partner with the Sales organization and Division Managers to develop and deliver sales skills and product training that will maximize sales talent and enhance TURCK’s ability to exceed sales goals in a competitive marketplace. This will include content creation, delivery, and eventually Train-the-Trainer programs. You will work with division managers, product managers, and sales leaders to identify training needs and construct plans for meeting those needs.
What will you do?
- Proactively arrange in-person seminars and virtual webinars to train reps, distributors, employees, and customers. You will customize and effectively brand training and all materials to meet target audience needs
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Product Managers and Human Resources to assess training needs of the sales force. You will conduct comprehensive needs assessments, identify learning opportunities to address performance gaps and meet business needs
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of sales training efforts, including learning transfer and the impact of learning on business results
- Build and manage the design of curriculums and learning resources
- Prepare lesson plans, training aids & manuals relevant to training material
- Manage and coordinate the creation of on-demand digital training content including video and E-learning courses
- Develop training calendar for the ongoing training curriculum
- Coordinate training sessions ensuring facility setup, and audiovisual needs as required
- Effectively manage pre/post class activities that promote optimal learning
- Provide results & feedback to upper management and other internal customers
- Regularly read industry literature and publications to stay informed regarding best practices, industry trends, and new advancements
- Manage an established training budget
What will you bring to the table?
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and 5+ years of related sales training experience
- Experience working with both internal and external sales teams
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Xcel)
Working Conditions/Physical Demands, Travel, etc.
This position requires the ability to travel at least 50% of the time with the other amount of time spent sitting at a workstation under usual office conditions. Incumbent will have regular contacts both inside and outside of the company requiring tact and discretion.
