Job Summary

As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for implementing sales and marketing strategies in an assigned territory and account base. The primary responsibility of this position is to grow sales of all TURCK products in the assigned territory and account base by winning specifications and orders from customers.  Customer base includes OEMs, end-users, architect/engineering firms, control system integrators and control system manufacturers.

What will you do?

  • Develop and implement a sales plan for assigned territory and accounts
  • Increase overall sales volume with existing customers in the assigned territory and account base
  • Develop new customers to increase account base
  • Acquire significant projects, end-user specifications and OEM business through direct involvement and coordination of factory resources and channel (distribution)
  • Penetrate new and existing vertical accounts that are strategic to sales growth in the assigned territory and account base
  • Provide inputs to Sales and Marketing Management that will assist them in developing sales quotas and forecasts, sales objectives, marketing plans, advertising programs, sales tools and new product development concepts
  • Participate in sales meetings, sales training and customer seminars and trade shows as required
  • Work with, train and assist distributors within assigned territory.
  • Work with the National Distributor Manager to recommend new distributors or changes to distribution
  • Work and communicate with internal departments for product development and customer order requirements
  • Work with customers and TURCK to support product and/or solve product issues at customers

What will you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor’s degree. Technical degree and either 5+ years of sales experience
  • Experience in selling or working for a manufacturer is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

Working Conditions/Physical Demands, Travel, etc.

The Territory Manager will maintain a home office and reside within the territory. This position requires local auto travel as needed (approximately 3-4 days/wk) and travel to the factory for sales meetings, to conduct seminars, and to attend team meetings and training (approximately 3x per year)

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $95,000 - $115,000 base plus bonus.
