Salary Range:$87,400.00 To $103,740.00 Annually
What You Will Do
The Product Lifecycle Engineer supports active products throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring they meet production, quality, and customer performance expectations. In this role, you will assist with Form‑Fit‑Function (FFF) evaluations, manufacturing process improvements, product design optimizations, and initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR). You will collaborate closely with Operations, R&D, Product Management, and other cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement, maintain product reliability, and optimize material usage.
This position requires strong analytical skills, practical problem‑solving abilities, and a data‑driven approach to evaluating solutions and recommending improvements. You will contribute to sustaining engineering activities, production support, and enhancing internal processes, documentation, and testing standards. The Product Lifecycle Engineer plays a key role in maintaining a supportive team environment, improving technical workflows, and helping achieve organizational performance objectives.
- Support Operations by providing technical guidance on active products and helping improve support responsiveness and efficiency.
- Assist with Form‑Fit‑Function (FFF) evaluations, component changes, and redesign considerations.
- Conduct technical analyses of product issues, develop solutions, and evaluate alternative approaches or components.
- Partner with R&D to support design, development, and validation of mechanical components, electronic assemblies, and finished goods.
- Contribute to production productivity, reliability, and quality improvements.
- Assist in identifying and closing gaps within R&D and production processes.
- Enhance internal knowledge bases, documentation, and team communication.
- Help refine testing standards to align with production needs and market expectations.
- Participate in specialist activities critical to organizational success.
Product Lifecycle & Change Management
- Serve as a technical resource for product‑related inquiries across the organization.
- Coordinate product changes that impact multiple production sites.
- Prepare and manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and support approval processes.
- Assist in preparing documentation for product releases and sustaining engineering initiatives.
- Support the development and evaluation of product roadmaps with cross‑functional partners.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct internal product training for teams across the organization.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Help analyze and optimize existing company procedures with data‑driven recommendations.
- Promote collaboration across Operations, R&D, and Product Management to maintain product quality and drive continuous improvement.
What You Will Bring
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or equivalent field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Proven competency in mechanical and electromechanical system design
- Experience with product evaluation and manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding of operational processes and standards
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
