Salary Range:$40,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually

What You Will Do

  • Perform duties to operate machinery that produce or calibrate a variety of electronic and cable assemblies.
  • Work from routers, part descriptions, assembly and source drawings, bills of material, written and verbal instructions to assemble a variety of products.
  • Work with production machinery as necessary to maintain workflow and consistent output. This may include wire cutting, stripping, tinning, crimping, soldering, testing fixtures, potting, printing, scales, label printers, packaging equipment, and laser calibration or injection molding equipment.
  • Perform ongoing self-executed audits of all products and processes with attention to detail and quality.
  • Work with common measuring devices such as multimeters, micrometers, rulers, cable scanners, computer test equipment, and others as each product may require.
  • Make quick precise adjustments to machine controls in order to get quality product. Must be aware of consistent changing of events and processes around them.
  • Communicate and cooperate with other Machine Operators, Machine Operator/Set-up personnel, and Production Supervisors to solve problems which appear in production process.
  • Inspect tools and equipment before, during and after production process. Make sure that parts of the job are completed and meet the required standards.
  • Perform various miscellaneous duties as required including routine machine maintenance, daily upkeep, cleaning of workstations and surrounding areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Follow safety rules and keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Physical Demands

The job consists of both standing and sitting at a work station and wearing safety glasses, covered shoes, and steel toe shoes in designated areas. The job does include some light lifting and carrying usually no more than 15-20 pounds.

Somewhat disagreeable conditions with exposure to heat, noise and fumes, some exposure to minor cuts, abrasions, burns or bruises when operating machinery, but not to the extent of being objectionable.
